According to the statistics of the Ministry of industry and trade, in September 2021, Vietnam’s rice export volume reached 530000 tons and the export volume reached 261 million US dollars.
In the first nine months, the export volume of rice was 4.516 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.5%; The export volume was USD 2.389 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 2.4%.
According to experts, novel coronavirus pneumonia has been facing difficulties in recent months due to the adverse effects of the new crown pneumonia. However, like billions of dollars worth of furniture, seafood, vegetables, coffee, rubber, cashew and so on, this is still a dominant industry in Vietnam.
In order to achieve the above results, all enterprises have redoubled their efforts to solve the difficulties in loading, unloading and transportation.
Moreover, the price of rice exported from Vietnam has been improving. Some enterprises believe that the rise in rice prices in Vietnam is mainly due to the recovery of traditional market demand and the impact on India’s rice supply due to adverse weather.
It is predicted that Vietnam’s rice export activities will continue to advance in the last three months of 2021 due to the increase in demand in many major markets in Asia at the end of the year.
In addition, since many places began to relax measures to maintain social distance from the beginning of October and resume safe production, export activities will be more active.
With the improvement of novel coronavirus pneumonia control situation in some big rice import and export countries, rice import and export activities have been restored, and the world rice market has shown signs of active again.
Taking advantage of the favorable opportunity, Vietnamese enterprises strive to achieve the goal of rice export volume of 6.3 million tons and export volume of US $3.2 billion in the fourth quarter of this year.
