Turkmenistan Oriental reported on July 2 that according to the statistics of the Turkmenistan State Customs Administration, the export volume of agricultural products has increased significantly, among which tomatoes have the largest export volume. In the first half of this year, the total amount of tomatoes exported from Turkmenistan reached 78,000 tons, an increase of 50% year-on-year. In addition, exports of fruits, melons, beans and dried vegetable products are also on the rise.
Among non-food products, footwear exports jumped to the top spot, tripling compared to the same period in 2021. In addition, the export volume of products also includes cleaning agents, furniture, natural furs and processed leather.
