Since the beginning of January this year, Vietnamese agricultural exporters have seen many positive signals. This is due to the efforts of enterprises to actively develop new markets and the positive trade export policy.
Enterprises expect the growth of agricultural exports this year to increase by about 20% year-on-year. Apart from coffee, the export volume and price of other fresh fruits from Vietnam are good. The opening of the Chinese market and the positive trade export policy are the reasons for the strong growth of many fresh fruit exports.
The price of durian has more than tripled to VND200,000/kg in recent months. Many markets are now open to Vietnamese fresh fruits and fresh fruit exports are expected to increase by 20 percent year-on-year in the new quarter and are expected to reach $4 billion.
Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that Vietnamese agricultural products should develop competitive strategies in any market in terms of quality, price and branding, and improve product quality according to the standards of discerning markets.
