According to the data released by Bulgaria’s National Bureau of statistics on December 20, according to the preliminary estimation of Bulgaria’s National Institute of agricultural economic accounting, the total output value of Bulgaria’s agricultural sector in 2021 will be 10.427 billion LEVs, an increase of 32.4% over 2020.
Compared with 2020, the output value of crops increased by 46.8%, the output increased by 24.4% and the price increased by 18.1%. Except for vegetables, the yield of main crops increased significantly, mainly due to favorable climatic conditions. Grain production increased the most, by 35.3%. Compared with the same period last year, the output value of animal husbandry in 2021 increased slightly by 2%, the output increased by 3% and the price increased by 1%.
