67% of Argentina’s exports in 2022 will come from agriculture-related sectors

The Argentine newspaper Sideways reported on Feb. 8 that the Argentine Agricultural Development Foundation released data showing that in 2022, Argentina’s agricultural sector will generate a total of nearly $60 billion in exports, up 8.5 percent year-on-year, accounting for 67 percent of the country’s total exports. Among them, dairy, meat and grain exports grew 24%, 17% and 9% year-on-year, respectively. The products with the largest export gains for the year included barley (71 percent), sunflower (42 percent), wheat (35 percent), poultry (24 percent) and dairy products (24 percent). Overall, the share of domestic sales and exports of Arab agricultural products was 54% and 46%, respectively, with export markets covering 155 countries worldwide. China is the main buyer of A’s beef, poultry and barley.
